Interior Design Project in Cheshire

Semi-retired couple Jim and Barbara wanted a fresh and simple look for their master bedroom and adjacent dressing room.  With such an unusually shaped home, they struggled to keep a minimal scheme and desperately wanted more light in the rooms.

“We have been very pleased with Hannah’s service in all respects.  Our bedroom and bathroom are now a pleasure to live in and we look forward to working with Hannah on future projects”.

For this scheme, I focussed on textures, rather than colours, by using beautiful natural materials, which provide a subtle and elegant simplicity.  The in-frame fitted furniture was bespoke-made and featured internal lighting on sensors, and the upholstered linen headboard created comfort without the fuss of heavily patterned fabrics or loud colours.  The scheme was continued seamlessly into the dressing room.  This narrow space featured bespoke bevelled mirrors over the dressing table to help increase the sense of space and light, and was made complete with individual chrome hooks for hanging jewellery on display.

To meet Jim and Barbara’s brief for a lighter and airier space, we installed a sculptured feature pendant, additional tilted spotlights over the bed, and bedside wall lights with flexible reading arms.  The soft colour palette simply enhanced the wonderfully quirky features of the room, such as the angled and porthole windows and overhead beams – Hannah

We we also pleased to have re-designed their luxury en-suite bathroom too.  Look out for more of Jim and Barbara’s interior design project in Bollington, Cheshire.
