Living Room Project in Wilmslow

Our second project with Pete and Lucy, after their ultra-cool living and dining space, was to create their family lounge.  This was to be a space suitable for enjoying with parents and extended family members, so they required a slightly grown-up, easy-living design scheme which still felt fresh and contemporary.

“Thanks again for all your hard work Hannah – everyone who sees the room has commented on how good it looks!”.

I used a very on-trend pale grey paint for all the walls, and combined with crisp glossy whites and luxurious aubergine for a clean and contemporary scheme.  The project included blocking up the unused fireplace and creating a bespoke curved television cabinet, complete with large wall-mounted TV for movie and sport watching.  The starring role in this room was  certainly the new gorgeous Finchley sofa from Arighi Bianchi, loaded with scatter cushions in white, aubergine and just a hint of contrasting chartreuse.

It was such a pleasure to help Pete and Lucy complete another room in their home. One of my favourite parts of this room include the black picture shelf, allowing their pictures and artwork to constantly change as they wish, providing a relaxed display area.  I also love the very cool coloured LED lights built into the TV unit.  These dimmable lights wash the wall with a ray of colours, and are a great way to add colour to a wall without committing to paint. – Hannah
