Open Plan Kitchen Space

CHESTER

A Open Plan Kitchen Diner for the whole family

A contemporary interior within a listed barn, which really opens up the space and makes the most of the extra wide windows.

The existing space consisted of a cramped kitchen and separate dining room which was rarely used.  Both spaces felt dark and restricted the flow from one to the other.  By opening the space into one, the natural light was hugely improved and floods the entire interior.

This new open plan space benefits from three zones, each offering space to relax and socialise whist complementing the whole scheme as one.  The kitchen boasts a large central island with downdraft induction hob to allow for feature pendant lights without the distraction of an overhead extractor hood.  It comfortably seats four members of the family and offers plenty of storage including extra deep pan drawers and gorgeous curves.

Additional seating is provided with a fitted booth under a window and an oval dining table which nods to the rustic flair of the interior.  This section softly blends the classic and contemporary styles with clean lines and natural materials such as solid mango wood, linens and smoked glass.

The sitting area cleverly showcases display cabinetry with hidden storage without encouraging on the space.  A large chaise and beautifully upholstered armchair creates a sociable zone for the entire family to relax and chat.

Details include recycled glass marble-effect tiled splashback, solid White Ice quartz countertops and two-toned shaker cabinets, all completed with plank-effect tiled floors.
